“Love of beauty is taste, creation of beauty is art”
This site showcases a collection of artworks by Safoora Terani, a California-based, Iranian artist. Safoora is trained in Persian traditional painting, an ancient style known for its depiction of romantic scenes with floral motifs, animals and human figures within a delicate structure and immense detail and mostly used in illustrating the pages of books of poetry and illuminated manuscripts.
Her recent artworks demonstrate how well she has transferred this knowledge and style into western style. The results are canvases that are painted with elegance, detail, rich colors and all share a poetic ambiance.
